The View from My Window: Early September 2016
September8
We were on a road trip to Ontario during the last week of August, so I missed getting my end-of-August photo. Here’s one from earlier this week.
I’ve heard dozens of flocks of geese pass overhead since we’ve been home. Flying south for the winter. Already.
Autumn is creeping in even though it’s been hot and humid (very UN-Nova-Scotia-like) for the past few days.
Is the sky as blue where you are?
That is a beautiful, calming photo! Our sky is pretty blue most of the time, but not always.
I’m always calmed when I look out my window, Vicki – it makes working a delight!
It’s either been achingly humid (seriously, we have a bed pushed directly in front of a huge a/c unit), or raining like the end of days. It’s supposed to be getting better here in a couple of days though. Great picture and view, Debbie!
I hope your weather is better by now, LuAnn. The humidity has been unusually high here too.
The sky is blue down here in the mountains of Virginia, and we’re in that wonderful season of cool mornings and nights and hot days. 🙂
I love cool mornings, Julia – I can get so much done!
Beautiful! The sky in Los Angeles has been everything: cloudy, foggy, blue and combinations of those. It’s a sign that summer is winding down. Sometimes it is ridiculously hot in September but this year it has been lovely.
I’m so glad that your September has been fine weather thus far, Judy!
Yes, it’s been beautiful for the most part. To the point where the farmers are still overly pleased by the sight of grey skies and rain. They have their own beauty of course!
I have been following your weather this summer, Marcie, since I have family in southern Ontario. I can well understand why the farmers will take any rain they can get! But, oh my word, the tender fruit from Niagara is juicy this year!!
That’s one big blue sky!
Beautiful, isn’t it, Deb? A wee bit cloudy this morning though.
Not very happy to be seeing the birds going south!
Me neither, Lisa. It seems to me that they just arrived. 🙁
In Louisiana they are predicting temperatures to be close to 100 as we approach fall.
Oh, Teresa! I couldn’t bear that. Even “hot and humid” here is not like that.
I love our fall weather: in the high 60s to mid-70s. Some days are perfect sweater weather; other days are just a tad too warm. Either way’s good!
You have an awesome view! It has been a wonderfully mild winter here in the southern hemisphere and spring has arrived quite early. I’m excited to see my flowers blooming soon!
I love my view, Betty – but I wish it was spring here too.
