Saturday Snapshot: Let It Snow
February18
This is my first time participating in the Saturday Snapshot meme, hosted by Alyce of At Home With Books. Visit her blog to see more great photos or add your own.
We woke up this morning to a winter wonderland. The whole world seemed silent and clean. The tree house isn’t quite finished (and not quite in a tree anymore since a storm took it down).
What’s it like where you are?
So pretty! We had some snow today but it’s mostly too wet to be fluffy like this.
Snow comes in so many different forms, doesn’t it, Trish? Sometimes it’s pretty and sometimes not so much. ๐
Definitely a winter wonderland. I can almost hear the silence.
It’s amazing how hushed it seemed, Kaye!
Very beautiful and stark. I like the contrast the tree house add, but I’m so sorry to hear it isn’t where it should be!
Well, it started out where it was supposed to be, Annie, but then the tree moved LOL
That’s a beautiful photo. I love those mornings when the world has turned white overnight.
I do , too, Lisa. Thanks for stopping by!
Snow!! I am envious of your winter wonderland. We haven’t really had winter here in southern Indiana this year. One real snowfall (maybe)…the kids haven’t even had one day off school so far.
Beautiful picture!
Here’s my snapshot: http://myreadersblock.blogspot.com/2012/02/saturday-snapshot-valentine-flowers.html
We didn’t really have any snow to speak of until about three weeks ago, Bev. An unusual winter.
Your flowers are lovely!
Beautiful!
Thanks, Bonnie!
That is such a beautiful photo! That bird house looks like a perfect little house under construction.
It is sort of a little house, Alyce – sized for a three-year-old. I took another look and can see the resemblance to a birdhouse LOL!
Nice photo! We have snow, but not anywhere near our normal amount, which I believe is generally less than you get. With the exception of a few really, really cold days (-30C), our winter has been unusually quite mild.
I wouldn’t have thought Manitoba would get less snow than Nova Scotia, Marie, but I don’t really know! We certainly haven’t had nearly our normal snowfall this winter, either.
Lovely photos on your blog! Thanks for stopping by.
So wonderful! We haven’t had any snow here this year (not enough to speak of, anyway)… and since I’ve bought some new snow boots we probably won’t get any snow now! ๐
The snow is always nicer to look at than to actually deal with, Nikki-ann, new snow boots or no. Count yourself lucky. ๐
Gorgeous.
Thanks, Louise – and thanks for stopping by Exurbanis.
The snow looks gorgeous. We had a freaky 10/29 blizzard and then a mild winter — crazy.
Winter seems to have been unusual in a lot of places, Diane. Glad yours was mild – it’s so much easier to take.
It looks pretty when it’s all white like that. My favorite kind of snow is a dusting and then it melts! And that is mostly what we have been having this year in Chicago.
It looks pretty when it’s all white, Leslie – AND you don’t have to drive in it. I’m glad you’ve had an easy winter in Chicago.
Hi there! I work for a tree house company called Blue Forest, we have just started a tree house competition and would love you to enter your tree house. I know it’s fallen down, but it is just a bit of fun, if you are interested, just click on the link and upload a picture… You never know you may win! http://woobox.com/m2ragc
