Woo hoo! I’m also a big Barbara Kingsolver fan! Wasn’t Poisonwood Bible just amazing???
My email address is: rebecca@loveatfirstbook.com
I love Alina Bronsky and Sam Selvon
I’d pick Ms. Kingsolver. Thanks!
Right now I am reading The Interior by Lisa See.
I just cannot get enough of her books.
I’m close to the end of Big Brother by Lionel Shriver. She is one of my favorite authors. I also like Claire Messud a lot, and have bought The Woman Upstairs but haven’t started it yet.
Thanks for this giveaway! I haven’t read any of the authors in your list but I would love to read Adichie. I don’t usually read by authors so I don’t have any favorites but I do love Jon Krakauer – his books are just amazing.
I enjoy very different authors, from J.D. Salinger to Veronica Roth. I read Never Let Me Go by Kazuo Ishiguro and thought it’s one of the most beautiful, yet raw, books I’ve ever read! That would probably be my choice, one of his books. Thanks for the giveaway!
I love reading anything by Haruki Murakami (my email is kimberleyjgriffiths at gmail)
I like Barbara Kingsolver.
I am one who has no favourites as I like to select books based on reviews and recommendations. I’d like to get to Kingsolver’s Flight Behaviour so thanks for the giveaway.
I’m eyeing Never Let Me Go by Kasuo Ishiguro or Haruki Murakami’s Kafka on the Shore. I want to read Japanese writing.
Thanks for the giveaway!
Currently I’m particularly enjoying Margaret Atwood’s books. Have to admit I haven’t read anything of the authors you mentioned yet… I better do some searching on GoodReads 🙂
I love Lian Hearn and Emile Zola.
Thank you for the giveaway!
I can’t honestly answer that. I’ve read Milne, Kingsolver, and Trollope from the list above. They were good reads. I enjoy Roald Dahl, C.S. Lewis, Lewis Carroll, and Frank Baum for kids’ books. Stephen R. Donaldson, Isaac Asimov….. Lol. I have faves in every genre:)) Thanks for the giveaway!!

I love reading historical fiction as well as murder mysteries. Two of my favourite authors are Paul Scott and Ethel Lina White. Thanks for the giveaway.
I love Kazuo Ishiguro!
I love Dave Bidini (though I usually prefer his nonfiction), and early Kevin Canty is great, too.
Great giveaway, thanks for the chance! I definitely want to read more Rohinton Mistry (read “A Fine Balance” last year and LOVED it). Also on my “must read more” list are Margaret Atwood, Haruki Murakami, Wally Lamb, and Barbara Kingsolver (and more, of course!). If I won I think I’d choose Kingsolver’s new one, “Flight Behavior.”
Thanks for the giveaway! One of my current favorite authors is Torsten Krol. I second Kristin’s suggestion of Rohinton Mistry, too. ^
I really enjoyed Haruki Murakami’s works. Thank you for the giveaway. 🙂
I love Agatha Christie – I think I’ve read almost all her novels – there are so many.
Sinclair Lewis and Umberto Eco have long been two of my favorites. Jerzy Kosiński, Jonathan Lethem, and Leon Forrest are also well worth reading. Thank you for the opportunity!

I enjoy Barbara Kingsolver’s books.
I’m still slightly uncertain as to what constitutes literary fiction, but someone mentioned Margaret Atwood above, and I do really like the ones of her’s I’ve read.

Hi! Thanks for the giveaway. I’m doing one as well, and if you’ve seen it, you know my reading tastes tend toward the “dubious literary” such as Chuck Palahniuk, Stephen King, and the other authors I’m giving away.
With that said, I’ve read a lot of the classics (and enjoyed some of them). I read The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver when I was in… high school? college? It was 80 million years ago, anyway. I really enjoyed it and I’d love a chance to read more of her books.
I would read something by Barbara Kingsolver. I’ve heard such great things about her!
Thanks for the givewawy!

Great choice of authors there! What a decision…I think if I was lucky enough to win I’d pick a book by Barbara Kingsolver as she is somebody I’ve been meaning to try for ages.
An author of literary fiction who is one of my favourites is Patricia Highsmith.

I have never heard of any of these, but when I read your readers responses it seems that Kazuo Ishiguro would be a great writer and I would love to read one of this authors books to see what is up and to see if it broadens my horizon of authors, that is what I like about these blogs they introduce us to many authors that many of us have never heard.. “Never let go” (i.teel(at)sbcglobal(dot)net
I enjoy the work of Jhumpa Lahiri. I’ve read three of her books and The Namesake is my favorite.
Thanks 🙂
I own all of Adichie’s books but I’m so happy to see her on the list. She definitely ranks as one of my favourite authors!
And I see that there is a title by Von Arnim on offer! I love her work as well and would love to own one of her books besides The Enchanted April.
I hope I am not too late to enter. Couldn’t help but try anyway!
